Newsmax Media Names Tim Collie Managing Editor, Newsmax.com
Friday 09. January 2009 - Newsmax Media, a leading independent online news site and magazine, has appointed Tim Collie managing editor of Newsmax.com. He will be based in West Palm Beach, FL.
For the past two decades, Collie served as a foreign correspondent for the Tampa Bay Tribune and the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, covering the first Persian Gulf War alongside the U.S. Army in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Iraq.
Collie has reported from more than two dozen countries, and has written extensively on politics in Israel, Haiti, and Latin America. In 2003, he was honored with an Overseas Press Club award for his coverage of Haiti.
