Artyplan, S.L. Uses Its HP Indigo Press to Win Designer Business

Tuesday 16. December 2008 - HP today announced that Artyplan, S.L is using its HP Indigo press 5000 to win new business in the fashion sector.

Artyplan, a successful, family-owned business, has a wide-ranging customer base, to which it provides commercial print, books, manuals and short-run print. Traditionally an offset litho printer, Artyplan invested in HP digital technology to better meet customer demands for high-quality, short-run prints. Since installing the HP Indigo press 5000, Artyplan has extended its printing services to the fashion market sector, winning new business from renowned designers such as, Pronovias and Inditex.

“We have used the HP Indigo press 5000 to produce catalogues and brochures for these high profile fashion designers,” said Ignasi Pietx, general manager, Artyplan. “Accurate colour consistency and high print quality was of key importance in order to showcase the fashion lines to a standard that reflects these premium brands. The advanced digital capabilities of the HP Indigo press 5000 enabled us to meet these high print standards and provide a cost-effective solution for short-run print, thus attracting customers from a market sector that had not been serviced by Artyplan previously.’

Artyplan is looking to integrate further HP digital technology following positive customer response to the HP Indigo press 5000 and its growing short-run business as a result.

Promoting creativity in print

As well as high-quality colour printing and personalisation capabilities, the HP Indigo press 5000 also allows for maximum substrate versatility. This allows printers to encourage creativity in print, as well as offer cost-effective alternatives to meet customers’ needs.

Artyplan also produces short-run, print-on-demand products for the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC) on its HP Indigo press 5000. New students are sent digitally printed prospectuses when they enrol and Artyplan prints and delivers these to the UOC within 48 hours.
