Thursday 11. December 2008 - Nensel Appointed Director, Editorial
Carroll Publishing, the nation’s leader in federal, state and local government contact information for over 37 years, today announced the promotion of William Wade to President, effective immediately. Mark Nensel was named Director, Editorial.
Wade will be responsible for marketing, IT and editorial, and will focus on expanding the coverage and depth of Carroll’s product scope. “I am delighted to have the opportunity to help Carroll deliver on our corporate commitment to ‘bring government to our customers — like no other,'” said Wade.
Prior to joining Carroll in February of 2005, Wade had a long career in information technology and publishing, including information technology leadership roles at Family and Children’s Services of Washington, DC and the Greater Washington Society of Association Executives; and senior editorial roles at the American Council on Education, The Taft Group and The Monitor Publishing Company. Wade received his bachelor’s degree in computer science at the University of Maryland, College Park.
As Director, Editorial, Nensel will be responsible for managing the editorial staff and for product content. Prior to joining Carroll in September of 2005, Nensel served in editorial and management roles at a number of database publishing companies.
“The digital world grows more complex every day,” said Tom Carroll, Chairman of Carroll Publishing, “and Bill Wade’s strong background in information technology and database publishing makes him ideally suited to lead in that environment. We are fortunate to have people like Bill to lead a stronger and deeper team as Carroll continues to grow. Mark Nensel, with his wealth of editorial experience, is a key part of that deeper and stronger team. He and Bill will make a good team.”
