Strategic Content Imaging, Inc. (SCI) Upgrades to Latest Xeikon Technology
Monday 08. December 2008 - SCI Buys a Xeikon 8000 to Enhance Print Communications
Xeikon, a division of Punch Graphix, today announced that Strategic Content Imaging, Inc. (SCI) has purchased and recently installed a Xeikon 8000. The new digital press is an addition to SCIs Xeikon 6000 press.

The Xeikon 8000 was unveiled earlier this year at drupa and plays in a league of its own. The digital press boasts an astonishing image quality of 1200 dpi at 4 bits per spot and a speed of 244 letter-size pages per minute. Its state-of-the-art technology has been developed to optimize print productivity and to provide fast, cost-effective, and eco-friendly printing without compromising on quality. The Xeikon 8000 comes with the latest generation of Xeikons unique X-800 digital front-end and Productivity Adapted (PA) toner technology. The X-800 digital front-end is intuitive, modular and based on open standards. It enables the implementation of fully automated workflows in any production environment.
