PEMBROKE PINES, FLORIDA TO BENEFIT FROM NATIONAL ARBOR DAY COMMITMENT BY RISO, INC.

Thursday 04. December 2008 - Officials from Pembroke Pines including the Mayor, Vice-Mayor and Parks & Recreation join RISO for a tree planting dedication at Rose G. Price Park

RISO, Inc. a provider of environmentally-friendly high speed color inkjet printers and duplicators has donated five trees to the City of Pembroke Pines, Florida.

A tree planting dedication ceremony will take place today at 11:30 am at Rose G. Price Park, and will include the following representatives from Pembroke Pines: Mayor Frank C. Ortis, Vice-Mayor Carl Shechter, Commissioners Angelo Castillo and Jack McCluskey, along with Dean Combs, Director of Parks & Recreation. Jose Hoyo, the South Florida Branch Sales Manager will represent RISO, Inc.

“We appreciate the commitment RISO has made to Pembroke Pines,” said Mayor Frank C. Ortis. “Suffice to say, partnerships which improve the environment and community benefit everyone!”

The donation and planting of five 14-foot oak trees in Rose G. Price Park is part of RISO’s national tree planting initiative in partnership with the Arbor Day Foundation. The oak trees were selected from a local nursery.

“RISO’s commitment to the Arbor Day Foundation has proven to be beneficial not only to the environment, but also the local communities we serve,” said Jose Hoyo, South Florida Branch Sales Manager for RISO, Inc. “Our branch is pleased to contribute to this effort in conjunction with the City of Pembroke Pines.”
