Akif Kazmaz, general manager and partner, Print Center

Monday 24. November 2008 - HP today announced that Print Center, an Istanbul based print service provider, has installed an HP Indigo 7000 Digital Press to increase its colour printing capabilities.

Print Center established in 1993 and employing 60 people, specialises in the production of short-run applications including stationery, leaflets, brochures, and web-to-print items for its customers in the pharmaceutical, retail and financial industries. Print Center purchased its first HP Indigo press, an HP Indigo 7000 Digital Press, at drupa to offer customers an extended portfolio of branded collateral and increase production capacity.

Print Center’s seven-colour HP Indigo 7000 Digital Press provides a wide digital colour gamut with the ability to match up to 97 percent of PANTONE Colours. The HP Indigo press features state-of-the-art colour management tools with ICC profile support and a print resolution up to 1219 dpi to produce accurately matched corporate colours.

“In our opinion HP digital printing technologies offer the highest print quality and the most accurate colour replication on the market. These factors ensured that when we decided to purchase new equipment we invested in an HP Indigo 7000 Digital Press,” said Akif Kazmaz, general manager and partner, Print Center. “Our corporate customers have already benefited from our increased colour printing capabilities as we use our new press to produce branded business stationery.”

Print Center’s HP Indigo 7000 Digital Press is designed to maximise efficiency featuring larger on-board ink containers and On-press Fast Ink Replacement (OFIR) technology to maximise uptime and increase productivity.

The HP Indigo 7000 Digital Press has the ability to produce up to 3.5 million colour pages per month. Running at speeds up to 120 four-colour A4 sized images per minute the HP Indigo 7000 Digital Press ensures that Print Center can turn around its customers’ jobs quickly.

“We have been involved in producing digital print for ten years and our experience shows that customers expect highly personalised and branded work within shorter lead times than ever before. Using our new HP Indigo press enables us to produce higher volumes of work in shorter deadlines than ever before,” said Kazmaz. “We are planning to use the speed of our HP Indigo press to take advantage of new market opportunities, increasing the volume of our web-to-print service and expanding into the personalised direct mail market.”
