Metaforic Appoints Steven Goodison U.S. Vice President of Sales

Metaforic, a leading provider of anti-tamper solutions today announced the appointment of Steven Goodison as U.S. vice president of sales. Goodison is responsible for leading the company’s U.S. sales organization, forging new market opportunities and creating synergies across all distribution channels. Goodison brings 20 years of experience in enterprise technology sales, where he focused on building national sales teams, selling new technology solutions direct to early adopters and managing major accounts.
“Steve possesses a highly successful track record in high-value sales both directly and indirectly through strategic partnerships,” said Andrew McLennan, CEO, Metaforic. “His unique experience in both direct sales and management is invaluable to us as we build out our sales and marketing effort. We look forward to his contributions as we work to extend our reach in the U.S. and further execute on our aggressive business plan.”
Prior to Metaforic, Goodison has held numerous sales and management positions with several leading technology companies including Tivoli Systems, Network Physics, SupportSoft, IBM and HP. He’s been an integral part of developing a number of early stage technology start-ups to successful acquisitions or IPOs. During his career, he has consistently delivered some of the largest sales deals and customer contracts to emerging companies.

Metaforic is also announcing the appointment of Joshua Pincus to the positions of sales engineer and senior developer. He will be responsible for providing technical expertise related to new and existing customer security requirements with a research emphasis on secure computing for virtual environments. Pincus’ start-up experience focuses on product architecture for both embedded and user-facing application products for the inventory management and surveillance markets.
Prior to joining Metaforic, Pincus was a systems architect consultant. He worked for eight years at Sun Microsystems, specializing in the design and development of SPARC hypervisor firmware and Solaris device drivers. He was also at Voltage Security, where he helped the company port its innovative email security solution from Linux to Solaris and from ia32 to SPARC.

Both Pincus and Goodison will be located in Metaforic’s San Jose office.
