Ultra-accurate Krones empty-bottle inspector as an inline model

The Linatronic 735 inspects glass bottles at a speed of up to 66,000 containers an hour, PET bottles at up to 45,000 containers an hour.

Monday 17. November 2008 - In the shape of the Linatronic 735, Krones AG is showcasing a compactly dimensioned empty-bottle inspector with the ultra-accurate IRIS technology, intelligent image processing for avoiding erroneous rejections and hygiene-friendly machine design thanks to sloped exterior surfaces.

The inline machine inspects glass and plastic containers with diameters from 50 to 110 mm and heights from 60 to 400 mm for damage and soiling, so that the product can then be bottled in visually and hygienically flawless containers.

The inspection units required for this purpose are chosen to suit the particular application involved, and can also be retrofitted at need. The standard inspection units available are for base, sealing-surface and residual-liquid (HF/IR) monitoring. As optional inspection units, the user can also integrate sidewall, inside wall, thread, lateral neck finish or foreign-bottle detection. An automatic changeover feature means that no handling parts are required.
