Young and full of inspiration
Thursday 23. October 2008 - Qi - Québec imprimerie, the magazine for graphic arts professionals, publishes its 12th issue
Launched on 2 November 2006 in front of major players in the Québec graphic arts industry and key figures who have made their mark on the and contributed to synergies in the graphic arts industry, Qi magazine is in full stride. Editions FBcube has just published the 12th issue of Qi – Québec imprimerie magazine, a sectoral press publication that covers all aspects of print communication.
Full of vitality
With the continued support of the four leading graphic arts organisations in Québec the Québec Institute of Graphic Communications (ICQG), Joint Association for Occupational Health and Safety, printing and related sectors (APSST), Sectoral committee on employment in the Québec graphic communications industry (CSMO) and The Montréal Club of Printing House Craftsmen (AAGM) in the last two years Qi – Québec imprimerie magazine (or Qi magazine for short!) has established itself as the premier technical and commercial reference for the Québec graphic arts industry. “In a fast-moving graphic arts environment that’s becoming increasingly global and mobile, the short, punchy title Qi reflects the acceleration of the spread of information,” says France Brodeur, founder and Editor in Chief of Qi – Québec imprimerie magazine. Reporting events on the provincial, national and international graphic arts scene, Qi magazine offers its subscribers an overview of the main developments in every printing sector. International competition, outsourcing and the convergence of printing applications and trades are just some of the issues faced by graphic arts professionals exhorting them to use their equipment and human resources as effectively as possible.
A wealth of content makes the Qi difference
Integration is the new driving force behind printing. Each stage in the creation of a print job is undeniably linked to one or more others. IT and telecommunications are the common thread running through the graphic arts industry, from the customer to imposition, inserting and delivery of the printed product. As the aim of integration is to make the time lapses between the different stages of production of a print job as short as possible, efficiency must take precedence. This efficiency must be achieved without error, without loss and as economically as possible.
To that end, Qi, through its editorial programme, aims to bring graphic arts professionals up-to-date, in-depth information to help them increase quality and productivity.
