Fuwei Films to Attend the 2008 China-U.S. Forum of Flexible-Packaging Industry Development

Tuesday 21. October 2008 - Fuwei Films (Holdings) Co. Limited (NASDAQ:FFHL) ("Fuwei" or "the Company"), a manufacturer and distributor of high-quality BOPET plastic films located in China, today announced it will attend the 2008 China-U.S. Forum of Flexible-Packaging Industry Development ("the Forum"), which is co-organized by China Plastics Processing Industry Association and the Technical Association of the Pulp and Paper Industry (TAPPI) of the U.S., with the assistance of Professional Committee of Laminated Film Products and Professional Committee of BOPET Film products. The Forum will take place from November 11 to 13, 2008 in Shanghai.

Many prestigious firms from the flexible-packaging industry in China and the U.S. are expected to attend the Forum. In addition, industry experts are expected to provide their forecasts of the industry trends. Topics will include: policy trends in food-packaging quality and safety, the current market condition for raw materials and the outlook, management models in the flexible-packaging industry, global industry trends with focuses on Europe, USA, Japan and China, and new technologies in extrusion, composition and coating.
