Cool ideas for a better climate
With the water-cooled version of the beta.c eco combination unit, the main focus is on the economic aspects, which makes lower operating costs possible for medium and long-term operation. One of the core objectives is to considerably reduce energy demand and consequently emissions of environmentally harmful CO2. Aspects such as the reduced amount of heat released in the press room and subsequent improvement of the production environment over the long term make a convincing argument for the water-cooling system.
Dampening solution filtration system as a cost-saving device for any application
technotrans also describes its solutions for filtration as an “investment in savings potential.” The dampening solution is affected by various factors during printing: It is contaminated by ink particles, paper coating, powder, paper dust and other substances that are separated from the printing substrate. As a result, the entire dampening solution circuit can become contaminated rather quickly, in turn requiring extensive maintenance. With a simple bypass connection to the dampening solution circulator or retrofitted to already existing systems. beta.f cleans the solution thoroughly and the dampening solution circuit remains clean longer – from the tank of the circulator to the trays of the printing press. This filtration method considerably reduces the need for maintenance and cleaning as well as the need to replace the dampening solution. Printing companies that previously had to clean and maintain their systems every 6 to 8 weeks now report that they are able to extend these intervals up to 8 or even 12 months with our beta.f system.
