Maxell Introduces New Packaging for Digital Media

Monday 29. September 2008 - Maxell Corporation of America (www.maxell.com) announced today that it has updated its digital media packaging on all Maxell recordable CD and DVD products, including the 8cm camcorder DVD.

Maxell’s new package design features a fresh new look with brightened colors and a sleek, modern design, while maintaining the overall color scheme and prominent red and white logo branding that consumers have come to recognize. In addition to the aesthetic updates, the packaging will also include an easy-to-read capacity bar for more convenient shelf browsing.

“We are always looking for new ways to improve and reinvigorate Maxell’s product line and branding, while still remaining true to the core look and feel,” said Cheryl Severini, Senior Marketing Manager. “This new packaging aims to be eye-catching on the retail shelves, and most importantly consumer-friendly.”

With a portfolio of blank media for consumers who demand performance-based products for digital entertainment, Maxell continues to create products, retail programs and packaging to distinguish its brand on store shelves. Since 2005, Maxell began featuring its famous “blow away guy” image in multi-million dollar print and online advertising campaigns and sponsorships. Maxell also lends its support as an official sponsor of the House of Blues Music Clubs Nationwide, Summer X-Games, and the John Lennon Educational Tour Bus and Song Writing Contest. These sponsorships combine Maxell’s premium media and accessories with great entertainment experiences.

Consumers will see Maxell’s new package design in stores on a rolling basis as of September. The product pricing will remain unchanged.
