10:00am-11:00am: UTOPIES
? « Corporate societal responsibility, version 2.0 » on the increased incorporation of sustainability in business models.
After having “talked” of sustainable development in their reports and in corporate PR exercises, companies now begin to include this aspect in their product offer. The information that they provide about their commitments seems to be no longer restricted to opinion leaders on corporate practices, but tend to promote the product performance to consumers. How does it affect the role of packaging?

? The living package: How to consider packaging in terms of product lifecycle scenario? A package creation initiative as part of a cradle to cradle design policy in the food industry.
To eco-design a pack it is necessary to consider the environmental impact of all the materials used at all stages of its lifecycle. We will specifically detail the example of a food pack (for stewed fruit compote without added sugar, 4 x 100 g) designed in accordance with a cradle to cradle design policy. The implementation of this policy leads to consider the product and its pack in terms of lifecycle scenario. This means thinking about what the user actually does with his pack and imagining new ways to reuse it and to create new end-of-life schemes (e.g. biodegradation, collection system).
