Digital People New Appointment – Managing Director, Bill Holmes
Tuesday 09. September 2008 - Bill Holmes has been appointed by the board of Digital People to drive the next phase of development of the company.
Bill is joining from HP where he was responsible for sales and account management within the Indigo Division of HP. Based in Manchester, Bills key focus over the last two years has been in the North East working with clients to develop best-in-class digital press solutions and to grow profitability whilst expanding new markets.
Previously, Bill was responsible for managing the sales team in the North specializing in the Indigo business and has held other senior roles including managing industrial presses within HP. Bill has been a member of the HP Digital Publishing Solution staff for over seven years.
Previous to his role within HP, Bill was one of the original members of the UK Indigo team (prior to the acquisition by HP) and was instrumental in developing the UK Business.
Bill joined the industry in the 1970’s and has progressed through various stages, starting first in equipment sales, then after which he set up his own printing company with production facilities in London. He gained a vast knowledge of operating and managing these processes in a very challenging marketplace.
Bill has completed extensive business management training at the I.O.D. London.
