LasX Industries, Inc. announces formation of new company, LaserSharp FlexPak Services, LLC.

Wednesday 20. August 2008 - LasX Industries, Inc. is pleased to announce the formation of a new company, LaserSharp FlexPak Services, LLC.

The new company recently opened operations at a new facility in Vadnais Heights, MN, about 2 miles from LasX’s facility in White Bear Lake, MN. All process development and contract manufacturing services relating to LasX’s LaserSharp Flexible Packaging Application Center has been transferred to LaserSharp FlexPak Services, LLC.
LaserSharp FlexPak Services, LLC will be managed by Juan Carlos Tinoco. Juan Carlos has over 5 years of laser processing experience at LasX with the last 3 years as LasX’s Flexible Packaging Applications Engineer. He has extensive experience in using LaserSharp technology to develop proprietary flexible packaging applications for easy-open and breathable packaging.

LaserSharp FlexPak Services, LLC will enable the FlexPak Team to focus and expand their process development and production capacity. The new facility will initially house 3 LaserSharp Systems to process our customer’s flexible packaging materials. A 4th LaserSharp System is currently being built and will initially be showcased at PackExpo08 in Chicago in LasX’s Booth # E6565.

LaserSharp FlexPak Services, LLC offers process development and contract manufacturing services primarily focused on:
· LaserSharp Scoring for Easy Open Packaging
· Precise easy-open features
· Controlled score depth protects barriers
· Available for resealable, retort, and pourable packaging designs
· LaserSharp Perforating for Breathable Packaging
· Controlled micro-hole size, depth, and location
· Available for perishable food, microwavable, and rapid-fill packaging

LaserSharp FlexPak Services, LLC will continue to offer customers the opportunity to develop and qualify package designs on a confidential basis, accelerating time to market while reducing costs and risks. Our customer can then launch the new design by either contracting LaserSharp FlexPak Services, LLC to process their material or purchase a LaserSharp System from LasX Industries, Inc.
