Corpus Christi Site Celebrates 35th Anniversary

Monday 11. August 2008 - The DuPont Corpus Christi site in Gregory, Texas, recently celebrated its 35th anniversary.

About 600 people attended the site’s annual picnic, including various DuPont leaders, retirees, employees and their families.
“Today is a special day, as we take the opportunity to recognize 35 years of operation at the Corpus Christi site,” said Tim McDaniel, plant manager.
“I can’t stress enough what an outstanding manufacturing site this is,” said Willie Martin, vice president, DuPont Operations, North America.
Willie congratulated the site on its anniversary and various accomplishments, including:
Being among the first sites to be recognized by the U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety & Health Administration’s Voluntary Protection Programs;
Receiving recognition from the Texas Chemical Council for its safety record for seven of the last 10 years;
Achieving record-production of hydrofluorocarbon 152A in 2007; and,
The site’s ability to undertake difficult challenges.
