Kodak’s New Program Helps Service Bureaus Raise the Standard of Document Capture Solutions to Ensure Accuracy and Reliability

Wednesday 06. August 2008 - Kodak’s Perfect Page Technology and KODAK Service and Support Drive Kodak’s Document Conversion Center Scanning Services Program

A rising number of businesses are relying on professional service bureaus to help manage the exponential growth of their records and critical documents. To assist with this demand, Kodak launches its Document Conversion Center Scanning Services Program to help service bureaus deliver consistent imaging quality and results when scanning their clients’ critical records and information.

Member companies of the new program have access to Kodak’s broad portfolio of document capture technologies, utilizing Kodak’s Perfect Page Technology and industry leading KODAK Service and Support to ensure reliable systems that consistently provide optimal image quality and accuracy. Perfect Page Technology integrates the process of rendering and managing colors, tones and shades while also improving the detail and clarity of text and images. These enhancements are applied immediately during image capture/scanning and deliver high quality images to applications where documents vary in structure and format such as medical records, institutional applications, accounts payable, and other business and government documents.

“Kodak’s program has established a standard of image quality for our company that provides us with the strongest guarantee to customers that they will be receiving high performance document scanning results that will improve access, readability and decision making from digital images used in their business processes,” said Dick Aschman, CEO of DataBank IMX, the first service provider, with a network of production centers nationwide, to participate in the program. “Kodak’s image capture quality and processing technology, such as Perfect Page, allows us to quickly capture our client’s information securely and accurately. Kodak’s program is attractive because it complements the quality standards we have set across all of our production centers and that we require in delivering services and results to our clients.”

DataBank is a national full service provider of document conversion and scanning services and document management solutions. Their comprehensive array of services and solutions addresses the needs of all document intensive applications that span a range of markets, such as healthcare, education, government, finance and shared services. DataBank has nine production centers using KODAK Scanners with Perfect Page Technology serviced by Kodak across the United States. DataBank’s conversion centers process over a billion images a year. Their participation in this program with Kodak will provide their integrated network of production centers with a program to help manage the image capture processes required in DataBank’s core business.

“Kodak’s Perfect Page Technology can provide scanned images that are better than the hard copy original documents,” said Don McMahan, Vice President Sales and Regional Business Manager, United States & Canada, Document Imaging, Kodak’s Graphic Communications Group. “Working with images of this standard makes it easier to process and organize information, improve productivity, and improves how service providers’ customers can meet business goals, government reporting demands, and industry regulations.”
