ITMA 2011 to celebrate 60 years of innovation
Wednesday 30. July 2008 - CEMATEX unveils 60th anniversary logo at ITMA ASIA +CITME 2008
When ITMA is held in Barcelona in 2011, it will mark the worlds most established textile machinery exhibitions 60th year since its inception in 1951.
To commemorate this special occasion, show owner CEMATEX, the European Committee of Textile Machinery Manufacturers, has launched an anniversary logo to celebrate ITMA as a catalyst for innovation for the last six decades.
The logo was unveiled at a special ITMA 2011 networking reception held in Shanghai during ITMA ASIA + CITME 2008 for some 300 guests. Speaking at the event, CEMATEX President Edward Roberts remarked, “It is interesting that ITMAs history preceded that of CEMATEXs. The first ITMA show was held in 1951 in France. CEMATEX was founded in the following year in order to unite the European textile machinery industry and to concentrate the textile machinery market at one trade fair venue. We are delighted that ITMA is recognised as the largest and most important textile machinery event for the worlds machinery manufacturers and their customers, a reputation which is constantly being enhanced as the show evolves.”
The ITMA 60th anniversary logo comprises the event logo and the numeric symbol “60” that denotes 60 years of ITMA history. The bold artistic strokes suggest qualities of creativity and dynamism and underscore CEMATEX’s long-standing commitment to help its members and the textile machinery industry to innovate in order to remain at the forefront of technology.
The next ITMA will be held in Barcelona, Spain at the new state-of-the-art Fira de Barcelona Gran Vía venue from 22 to 29 September 2011. The 100,000sqm nett exhibition is expected to attract over 1,400 international exhibiting companies.
ITMA 2011 is organised by MP International, CEMATEXs professional exhibition organiser of its ITMA ASIA series of exhibitions
