Amcor Flexibles Announces Input-driven Price Increase
Friday 25. July 2008 - Amcor Flexibles today announced the need for price increases effective as from 01 August 2008.
This follows several months of relentless cost increases from raw material suppliers based on their climbing feedstock, transportation and energy costs. Since the start of 2008, oil prices have rocketed by approximately 40%.
While Amcor Flexibles understands how difficult this inflationary environment is for its customers, these extraordinary rises in costs have outstripped the companys ability to keep pace and must be reflected in a product price increase.
The new prices will ensure that Amcor Flexibles remains a viable business partner and can continue to invest in new product developments and environmentally sustainable operations.
The company will continue to take aggressive measures to keep costs under control and minimize the impact on its customers business.
