Kodak Strengthens Sales Support to Bulgaria

Thursday 17. July 2008 - Kodak’s Graphic Communications Group defines distribution network for Bulgarian conventional and digital markets

Kodak’s Graphic Communications Group (GCG) has strengthened its sales coverage and customer support in Bulgaria by defining the roles of its three sales partners for the country. Choosing three partners who are focused on dedicated areas and products ensures that Kodak’s GCG customers will be well served by companies ideally positioned to meet local market needs.
“All three distributors are long standing suppliers to the Bulgarian graphic arts market and among them they provide a comprehensive level of sales and after sales support for select products and solutions from Kodak’s Graphic Communications Group,” says Jacek Skibicki, Sales Director for Bulgaria. “They all have their strengths in specific market segments, which they continue to serve. We believe that the three companies will provide excellent market coverage, combined with great competence with the products they represent from Kodak’s extensive GCG portfolio.”
The responsibility of the three distribution partners is basically related to the product groups that they will sell and service:
• Kodak’s GCG hardware and software, including CTP equipment, workflows, digital printing systems (KODAK NEXPRESS, DIGIMASTER, VERSAMARK Systems) are sold and supported in Bulgaria by GED, a company which also sells thermal plates and chemicals plus Kodak’s GCG digital flexographic product portfolio. GED is also the only authorized service centre for the above mentioned equipment.
• Valkanov Trade now sells Kodak’s conventional graphic arts film and chemicals, conventional offset plates and chemicals, as well as conventional flexographic plates. In addition, Valkanov Trade offers Kodak’s violet plates and chemicals, which complement its ECRM Imaging Systems’ violet CTP portfolio.
• Media Consult sells Kodak’s conventional graphic arts film and chemicals, offset plates and chemicals, plus violet plates and chemicals as well as thermal plates and chemicals. Currently, Media Consult carries consumables only.
“Bulgaria’s conventional graphic arts sector remains significant and important to Kodak’s Graphic Communications Group, and this will be well served by our two consumable dealers, Valkanov Trade and Media Consult. Our complete digital product portfolio will be handled by GED. There is a great deal of interest in the area of digital output technology at the moment, and there are several exciting new orders in the pipeline,” says Jacek Skibicki.
