Parrot(R) Launches Elegant New Designer Collection With Digital Photo Frame Designed by Andree Putman

Wednesday 16. July 2008 - Give your photos a touch of sophistication thanks to acclaimed French designer

As people around the world celebrate Bastille Day, the French national holiday commemorating the start of the French Revolution, Parrot, world leader in wireless mobile telephony devices, has announced a revolution of their own: the convergence of impeccable style, sophistication and technology with a new designer collection. Today, the company introduced the first product in the line, a unique digital photo frame created by internationally acclaimed French designer and interior architect, Andree Putman – the Coco Chanel of French interior design.

Sporting a pure and timeless design skillfully contrasting black and white tones with a subtle play of transparency, the frame respects the Putman style that is sought-after worldwide from New York to Tokyo.

“I would like to pay tribute to Parrot for daring to think that this wonder of technology could be coiled up inside a beautiful wrapping … with an eye-catching flourish that goes beyond mere practicality,” explains Andree Putman. “I will fill this screen with photos of my children and friends, and I will place it neatly on my desk.”

The Parrot digital photo frame by Andree Putman combines technology with art. With this new frame, customers can savour the luxury offered by an extraordinary artist in their own home.

“Here at Parrot, we have always put design at the forefront of product development. The Parrot frame by Andree Putman is the first in our new designer series that will showcase the artist as well as our range of wireless stereo and image products,” says Henri Seydoux, CEO and founder of Parrot.

Thanks to Bluetooth(R) technology, users can easily transfer their most treasured moments directly from their mobile phone straight to the Parrot digital frame by Andree Putman. Users can also take advantage of the frame’s multiplicity of connections and upload photos via an SD card or by connecting a mini USB cable.

With an emphasis on picture quality, Parrot offers the very best in display technology: a vibrant 7-inch, high- resolution LCD screen with 720 x 480 pixels displays up to 262,144 unique shades of color for bright, strikingly realistic images. The unique interface inspired by Andree Putman’s minimalist design allows photos to be managed intuitively and, just like all other Parrot digital photo frames, the frame automatically rotates and resizes images to fit the screen as if by magic!

Finally, the Parrot digital photo frame by Andree Putman lets users customize the display with a variety of slideshows and has an internal memory capable of storing more than 400 photos – allowing them to easily change the image selection to suit their mood.

The Parrot digital photo frame by Andree Putman will be available online in the U.S. starting in July 2008 for an MSRP of $450.00.
