Next Generation in Sales & Marketing at NELA
Wednesday 16. July 2008 - Changing of the guard at NELA Brüder Neumeister GmbH: On July 1st, 2008, Helmut Britsch, who was Director of Sales & Marketing since drupa 1995, passes on the leadership to Guido K. Eckenwalder. Britsch will continue to support the sales team as a Senior Key Account Manager.
With 37 years of service to NELA, Helmut Britsch is a veteran of the family-owned company. Competent, full of ideas and always in action – this is how many customers and partners worldwide have come to know him.
His career at NELA begins on July 1st, 1971 in the design department, whose leader he becomes soon after. Shortly before drupa 1995, he takes over the position of Director of Sales & Marketing. The printing industry has undergone a huge technical evolution in the almost 4 decades of Britschs career, whose innovative ideas and initiative were the basis for many product developments at NELA.
Britsch also largely contributed to the fact that the mid-sized, family-owned company Brüder Neumeister GmbH has grown to an international organization with subsidiaries in the US (Minnesota) and Asia (Singapore). Today, NELA is the leading manufacturer of automation solutions for the pre-press industry worldwide.
Helmut Britsch will continue to put his experience and competence in the service of the company after July 1st, 2008. As the Senior Key Account Manager, he will support NELA customers and partners with his knowledge and advice.
His successor in managing the sales department will be Guido Eckenwalder, who has been the head of Sales & Marketing Asia/Pacific and Middle East since 2001. Before joining NELA, the engineer had worked for several plant automation companies. Eckenwalder successfully developed the Asian markets for NELA: both the leading market share of the company in this world region, as well as the establishment of sales and service offices in Singapore and Taipeh, are the fruit of Eckenwalders work. His designated successor for the Asia/Pacific region is Mr. Stephen Goh, who has lead the NELA sales office in Singapore since October 2007.
