Latest Version of CirculationPro Opens New Revenue Stream for MediaSpan Customers

Tuesday 15. July 2008 - Upgrade Eases Delivery,  Publishing of Multiple Papers

MediaSpan Group,  Inc., leading provider of proven mission-critical content management and workflow solutions for the newspaper, magazine, and Web publishing markets, announced the latest version of its circulation software solution. CirculationPro version 3.7 is now shipping to customers.

Publishers have realized a new revenue source in CirculationPro’s Carrier Route List tool, which simplifies the process of delivering other publications such as USA Today and  the Wall Street Journal alongside their local papers. The new version of CirculationPro incorporates changes that were designed to help newspapers deliver multiple publications with the same carrier force. Bill Herbert, Circulation Director at the Rockdale Citizen, raves about the new Carrier Route List. “It’s wonderful,” said Herbert. “The Carrier Route List saves the managers countless hours when they audit routes. Before, they had to run two different route lists and then merge the lists – [the CirculationPro feature] has cut their time in half.”

“MediaSpan is focused on delivering powerful, yet flexible solutions to the newspapers across the country that are working to consolidate efforts and converge processes in order to grow revenue and remain competitive,” said Dr. F.R. Campagnoni, MediaSpan Chief Executive Officer.

With CirculationPro 3.7, multi-user publishing is now available. This allows sites with multiple publications across various locations to stay logged in during publishing. Sites can make starts,  stops and changes to any publication not currently being published and can even view information and run reports for the  publication currently being published.

Other CirculationPro upgrades and enhancements that aid the ever-changing workflow needs of circulation departments include centralized databases, improved ASP solutions, additional standard reports, and stronger backup and recovery tools.
