Parascript, LLC, the image analysis and pattern recognition technology provider, today announced that its automated signature verification software has been implemented in the United Arab Emirates to prevent check fraud. This marks another successful international application of the company’s universal signature verification broadly used for diverse fraud prevention applications, such as detection of forgeries on financial documents and mail-in ballots, in the United States, United Kingdom, Zimbabwe and other countries.

Parascript SignatureXpert helps financial institutions to prevent losses from signature forgeries on checks and other documents. SignatureXpert leverages artificial intelligence and exploits the most comprehensive and advanced methods available in the art of signature verification. Automatic comparison is executed by a powerful combination of verifiers. In particular, they combine a human-like holistic analysis of a signature and signature segmentation with a subsequent analysis of the signature elements and characteristics.

“For over a decade, NCR has been integrating Parascript products into the NCR ImageMark suite of check processing solutions. This successful, long-standing partnership enables us to provide our customers with powerful, fraud prevention technology,” said Denis Bergeron, NCR director of Product Management for Payment Solutions. “The solutions developed by NCR and Parascript bring exceptional signature verification capability to financial institutions in the United Arab Emirates and worldwide.”

“Parascript is dedicated to providing our partners the tools necessary to combat check fraud on a global basis. Our signature verification has been proven to work with signatures from different languages with the same accuracy and reliability as experienced by financial institutions in the United States, proving the universality of our technology,” said Mike Fenton, vice president of sales and operations for Parascript.
