Seiko I Infotech Inc. (SIIT) Previews a Super-Fast, 104-inch Solvent Printer at Drupa 2008
Monday 30. June 2008 - Seiko I Infotech Inc. (SIIT) announced today that it will preview a new 104-inch solvent inkjet printer, the "ColorPainter H-104S" at the Drupa tradeshow in Dusseldorf, Germany, 29 May - 11 June 2008.
The “ColorPainter H-104S”, achieves the class-fastest printing speed of 55 sqm/h with 8 colors while maintaining extremely high image quality and density. This printer achieves this speed by utilizing eight super-wide, piezo inkjet heads. The speed is revolutionary because it is approximately 1.5 – 2 times faster than competing models in the same price/width class.
The new inkjet heads offer true 720 dpi resolution and bigger droplet sizes by firing multiple drops to maximize ink density levels – even at high print speeds. The printer offers new “mild solvent” ink set that has excellent color and adhesion. The printer comes with 8 heads and can be configured two different ways: Eight colors with one head per color (Y, M, C, K, Lc, Lm, Grey and Light Grey ink colors) for maximum image quality, or Four colors with 2 heads per color (Y. M, C, K ink colors) can almost double the speed Eight colors for maximum productivity.
The new ColorPainter H-104S incorporates new features, “Smart Pass Technology” to optimize pass-to-pass dot placement for smooth spot colors and gradients and “Automatic head height adjustment” to ensure the best image quality. In combination with these features as well as high speed and high ink density, this printer meets requirements for professional quality outdoor graphics and high volume users.
The ColorPainter H-104S is positioned as the highest model among ColorPainter series, and will be sold through SIIT channel partners worldwide. The estimated price for the ColorPainter H-104S will be 50,000 – 55,000 euros. SIIT plan to announce the detailed release schedule of the ColorPainter H-104S in September 2008 at Viscom Europe.
