A new location? One meaning: expansion!!!

Monday 30. June 2008 - In an effort to meet growing customer and production demands, APS has invested $2 million to buy a new production facility in the Shanghai Pudong area, close to the airport and the Shanghai Expo 2010.

APS Executive, Paolo Visentini, signed the agreement with Caohejing Hi-tech Park President, Gui En Liang, to signal the start of the new venture. “Another production facility has to be well thought through. You cannot do it simply because your competitor is doing it,” stated Asia Pacific Manager, Andy Guo. He further stated, “You have to understand your customer needs to be successful.”

Commissioned in September 2007, the production facility is expected to be in full production by January 2008. This new state-of-the-art facility is posed to meet the high demands of the Indian and Chinese markets as well as worldwide projects. In late 2008, a new APS Asia Pacific Research and Development office will be established to complement the manufacturing facility. The technical research will specifically focus on the Asian marketplace.
