Anchor Packaging “living large” with introduction of Roaster Grande

In response to an emerging consumer trend, Anchor announces its newest and largest reusable and recyclable Roaster yetthe Roaster Grande.
During the past two years, Anchor has done extensive research with leading retailers, to better understand the consumer trends and merchandising strategies driving the shift toward larger birds. At the same time, Anchor has coordinated with poultry suppliers across the country, to make sure that the Roaster Grande would meet the size and performance needs of the largest birds coming to the mainstream market.
The Roaster Grande comfortably holds birds in the 3 ½ – 6+ lb range (precook weight), and has been tested under the hottest and most demanding retail conditions. Like the original, market-leading Anchor Roaster, the Roaster Grande base and dome are made of polypropylene. They will not melt, crack or leak, even after 4 hours in a heated merchandising unit. With vertical ribbing in the base and dome for added strength, it is easy to stack on counters, in displays, or in a takeout bag. The v-lock channel provides a leak-resistant seal and its clear anti-fogging lid provides excellent merchandising and visibility for improved order accuracy.
With increasing concerns over food packaging waste disposal, the Roaster Grande, like all of Anchors polypropylene takeout containers, provides a reusable and recyclable takeout container. RE-USE and RECYCLE are 2 of the top 3 waste management strategies recommended by the EPA. Customers prefer a reusable food container over biodegradable/compostable or recyclable containers. The Roaster Grande is microwave-safe and dishwasher-safe, and offers a valuable bonus for supermarket customers.
