Heinrich Bauer Verlag have decided in favor of the Remote Director (TM)

Sunday 08. June 2008 - The Otterbach Group, at the Drupa 2008, the biggest trade fair for the Printing and Media Industries, is introducing an important new business contact for the color-proof Monitor-Proofing System Remote Director (TM). The Bauer Druck Köln KG, one of Heinrich Bauer’s own printing plants will, in the future, be using the Remote Director (TM) for their own products.

The enterprise Bauer has already made further enquiries in respect of the color- proof Monitor Proofing System for other printing locations. Moreover, the editorial depar(TM)ents (editorials) for other diverse products will be equipped with the Remote Director (TM).

This software makes it possible for several users, in different locations, to simultaneously look at and assess the colors and contents of a proof ,to navigate alternately the layout of the proof and with the help of small digital self-adhesive notes to discuss and comment on the proofs, making notes and giving instructions for corrections. Finally, on the basis of this digitalized process, a complete digital script leading into a seamless documentation of the Proofing System can be made, including a legally binding “digital signature”

Communication, therefore, is considerably more effective as the users-whether customers such as photographers, agencies, publishers, pre-press or printers-each according to their own requirements, can work, in real time, either together in a project or independently. Furthermore, the Remote Director (TM) is the first monitor-based Proofing System which with the SWOP Certification guarantees that all Monitor Proofs correspond to the ISO guidelines of the Printing Industries.(Industry) The Remote Director (TM) supports RGB,CMYK and CMYK with special colors in the formats TIFF, JPG, PS, EPS, PDF, DCS2, and CT/LW.

According to Otto Engelhard, Managing Partner of the Otterbach Group, on the new business: We are pleased that the Heinrich Bauer Verlag have placed their trust in the Remote Director (TM). Due to their decision, the software has come a great deal nearer to becoming the standard proofing system of the industry.

At the Drupa Otterbach Group stand, which is located in hall 4 F47, further and more detailed information on the Remote Director (TM) is available. ICS Color Inc., the producers of the Remote Director (TM) and Van Gennep, the producers of the Publishing Systems PlaySystem3 are also, as partners of Otterbach (the Otterbach Group) represented at the Drupa stand.
