Saturday 07. June 2008 - Avery Graphics donates more than 7,000 square feet of MPI 2010 for children’s problem solving competition

Avery Dennison Graphics & Reflective Products Division donated more than 7,000 square feet of MPI 2010 vinyl to the 2008 Destination Imagination Global Finals, the world’s largest creative problem solving program for kids. More than 1,000 teams of elementary and middle-school aged children from around the globe gathered last week in Knoxville, Tenn., to participate in problem-solving challenges that promote teamwork, creative thinking and personal fitness.

Graphix Solutions in Old Bridge, NJ, printed graphics on more than 7,000 square feet of MPI 2010 and wrapped 125 individual cubes used in the “Power Cube Challenge.” The Challenge was part of the closing ceremony and teams of children from across the world assembled the 15-by-15-by-15 foot puzzle cube for the Global Final’s National Dairy Council Nutrition and Fitness Challenge

“We were pleased to provide MPI 2010 vinyl to this year’s ‘Power Cube Challenge’ at Destination Imagination. This conference is a valuable opportunity for children to develop their leadership, teamwork and problem solving abilities,” said Joel Ross, Marketing Manager for Avery Dennison Graphics & Reflective Products Division. “The gigantic puzzle cube is quite an impressive example of what today’s young creative minds can accomplish.”

MPI 2010 is a high quality calendered vinyl ideal for wall murals, floor graphics, POP and tradeshow applications. The 2008 Destination Imagination Global Finals were hosted this year from May 21-24, 2008, at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, Tenn.
