EFIs Jetrion 4000 Wins Industrial Printing Solution of the Year in EDP Awards 2008
Friday 06. June 2008 - European Digital Press Association recognises the quality and innovation of the Jetrion 4000, now available for purchase
EFI (NASDAQ: EFII), the world leader in customer-focused digital printing innovation, today announced that its full-colour Jetrion 4000 UV Inkjet System has been named Best Product of the Year in the Industrial (Specialty) Printing Solutions category of the European Digital Press (EDP) Awards for 2008. Run by the EDP Association, comprising the publishers of
13 of the leading European digital printing magazines with a combined audience of 120,000 graphic arts professionals across Europe, the aim of the awards is to identify and reward annually the products that represent the best quality and innovation in the digital print industry.
The Jetrion 4000 UV Inkjet System, which is now commercially available and on display at drupa 2008 (29th May to 11th June, in Düsseldorf, stand C01, Hall 5), is a unique industrial inkjet printer that is launching the digital label printing revolution and offers label converters an affordable, full-colour narrow web alternative to toner-based digital printers for label runs of up to 50,000 labels.

With speeds of up to 30.5 metres/min at more than 1000 dpi with greyscale technology, the Jetrion 4000 delivers full-colour label printing up to 13.9 cms (5.5 ins) wide. The system also features Jetrions advanced UV4000 ink set which provides exceptional durability and reduces the need for costly over-laminates. In combination
with EFIs Fiery XF RIP, the inks provide outstanding colour reproduction across a wide range of substrates.
