HP Launches SmartStream Director Web-to-Fulfillment Workflow Solution
Tuesday 03. June 2008 - HP today announced it has enhanced its strong, dynamic SmartStream workflow portfolio for print service providers (PSPs) by introducing HP SmartStream Director, Powered by Press-senseTM. The new web-to-fulfillment workflow solution is the result of a new original equipment manufacturer (OEM) relationship HP has formed with graphic arts business automation technology developer Press-sense.
HP SmartStream Director provides small to large businesses with an integrated and open workflow solution, offering the ability to automate, manage, customize and optimize business and production processes from job creation to fulfillment.
Available in November 2008, HP SmartStream Director will offer a high value package incorporating a wide variety of Press-sense applications and technology, as well as HP tools and solutions.
HP SmartStream Director provides a customizable set of tools to meet both print buyer and print provider needs in different market segments, including general commercial printing, direct marketing, print publications, photo specialty and labels and packaging. The introduction of HP SmartStream Director is an important milestone in the development of the HP SmartStream portfolio, a comprehensive workflow solutions offering announced at HP’s Pre-drupa event in March and shown for the first time at drupa. HP SmartStream solutions enable customers to create a variety of end-to-end digital print applications, leveraging a rich portfolio of solution components developed by HP and partners.
