Global Imaging Acquires Better Quality Business Systems

Monday 02. June 2008 - Global Imaging Systems, a Xerox company (NYSE: XRX), has acquired Saxon Business Systems of Miami Lakes, Fla.

An office equipment supplier in Florida since 1982, Saxon has offices in Jacksonville, Orlando, Melbourne and Delray Beach, in addition to Miami Lakes. Saxon is positioned to immediately begin offering Xerox’s full range of office printing products.

“Saxon Business Systems’ attention to customer relations made it a great fit for Global,” said Michael Shea, president and CEO of Global Imaging. “With this acquisition, Global gains an experienced partner who has an eye for creating customer solutions.”

Saxon co-owners Florio Abbate and George Cavallaro will continue leading Saxon Business Systems as president and executive vice president, respectively, with Abbate reporting directly to Shea.

“After 25 years of steady growth in this market, this is a logical progression for our business,” said Abbate. “To be aligned with Global and Xerox is as much an opportunity for Saxon, as it is for our customers.”

The acquisition continues Global’s development of a national network of office technology suppliers to serve its ever-expanding base of small and mid-size businesses. It also strengthens Global’s presence in Florida, where it currently operates corporate headquarters, as well as a branch office of Southern Business Communications.
