NP Print & Design invests in CtP that matches up to its accreditations

Tuesday 27. May 2008 - Wallingford company NP Print & Design is making its CtP debut with a Suprasetter A52 system from Heidelberg, a decision taken only after extensive research into the options available.

Managing director Nick Nye says: “I’m known for being boringly thorough before making a decision but at least I can be sure that this is the right system. We had to replace an old and cumbersome Agfa filmsetting line and having achieved ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 last year we wanted a device that gave us the quality we run to and one that matched our environmental stance. I don’t walk around in sandals but I do like the fact the Suprasetter is a green machine and will run chemistry-free plates. The environment is important to our customers.”

NP Print & Design has specified its Suprasetter with a Top Loader which has a cassette capacity of 100 plates enabling its flexible staff to move to other machines or other tasks, leaving the platemaker to run out plate sets automatically.

Although the company set up its consumables finance deal on the basis of 400 plates a month, the current output of 600-700 a month means that the CtP device will be paid off very speedily.
