OneVision to Showcase New Premedia Software Solutions at drupa 2008

Monday 26. May 2008 - In Hall 9, Stand A22, OneVision will Demonstrate Powerful Software Solutions for the Printing and Publishing Industry

OneVision, a global provider of prepress and premedia software solutions to the printing and publishing industries, announced that it will be showcasing new innovative software solutions designed to save printers and publishers time, ensure quality and stay competitive at the upcoming drupa 2008 trade show in Düsseldorf, Germany, May 29 – June 11.

At the show, OneVision will feature a wide range of new software solutions that allow you to automatically enhance images, repurpose your print files for online publication, verify and check online advertisements and maximize file submission and approvals. OneVision product experts will be available to provide information and present the solutions in live demonstrations in Hall 9, Stand A22.

OneVision is a leading provider of automated prepress and premedia software that easily handles and enables everything from file normalization and optimization, to last-minute file editing and money-saving color ink management – regardless of file type. The customizable software is built on “open” architecture, which allows it to work seamlessly with systems and software widely used today – enabling organizations to maximize the value of their existing production processes.

At drupa, OneVision will demonstrate software that includes an automated, professional-quality image enhancement solution which significantly decreases image processing time by automatically adjusting the color, brightness and contrast, shadows and highlights etc., so printers and publishers can reduce time-to-press by lessening the need for manual image correction.

Other solutions add a variety of new options for publishers looking to maximize the work that goes into the creation of print media by essentially bringing the familiarity, layout and usability of the traditional printed page online. When today’s printed page combines with the latest Web-based technology available, the result is a powerful interactive tool that effectively connects readers to relevant content, including online media, advertisements and third-party media.

Attendees will also see how new software makes it easier than ever before to submit ad files online by giving advertisers the ability to upload and approve files using a highly intuitive 24/7 interface that checks files for common errors and verifies file submission.

“The new software is designed with usability in mind, and as with all of OneVision’s solutions, they can be used with minimal training,” explains Marcus Diwo, Head of Marketing at OneVision Software AG. “OneVision’s newest offerings are designed to bring printers and publishers from the present into the future by providing organizations with a way to seamlessly transition as they shift from print-based to Web-based media.” Continues Diwo, “OneVision’s software can easily be incorporated into existing workflows with minimal downtime, so that operational staff can focus on producing the latest issue or edition and not on installing new software. We are extremely excited to be showcasing so many new solutions at what is widely considered to be the world’s premier trade show for the printing and publishing industries.”

OneVision’s software is used by many of the world’s leading commercial and digital printing as well as publishing organizations in more than 60 countries.
