May 2008 - Mitsubishi Lithographic Presses UK based in Leeds who supply B1 and B2 printing presses to the UK market, are pleased to announce they have achieved ISO 14001:2004 accreditation following the implementation of a new Environmental Management System once again proving Mitsubishi’s commitment to manufacturing products that are both people-friendly and environmentally friendly.

As one of the largest manufacturing corporations in the world, Mitsubishi are aware of the strain put on the environment by the printing industry due to their operating processes so this achievement ensures their quality assurance systems satisfy the most rigorous of international standards.

Lee Taylor, Mitsubishi’s Environmental Manager said, “To achieve ISO 14001:2004 we have had to make several changes to our normal working routines including the implementation of new policies and procedures to ensure all employees of MLP UK are aware of the   impact their day to day work has on the environment.”

“There has been huge commitment from the MLP UK Management team, providing the man hours and financial commitment for a smooth implementation and we now have on site recycling facilities for Paper, Wood, Board, Plastic, and all hazardous waste produced by MLP UK.”

“The small, simple things can make a huge difference like switching off equipment at the end of the working day such as photocopiers, monitors, air conditioning, lights. These changes don’t cost anything, and would ultimately save your company money.
