Sharp empowers print communications

Tuesday 20. May 2008 - At the Drupa fair, Sharp will present several solutions for individual and high-volume digital printing and will highlight its flagship production machines. The emphasis of these award-winning models is on providing new solutions in the fields of personalised printing and workflow.

At this year´s Drupa from 29 May to 11 June, ,many different sides of Sharp will be on show in Hall 9 at Stand A04 under the motto “Empowering Print Communications”. Alongside the multi-award-winning production printing devices MX-M850/950 and 1100, and the colour production systems MX-6201N and MX-7001N, Sharp will exhibit a number of practical applications to show how easy digital printing is today. Sharp will demonstrate together with a small selection of partners Variable Data Printing, Production Workflow and Web to Print capability. Visitors will experience impressive moments in a world of colour, and of black and white, with an insight into the future of networked digital printing. Workflows are displayed clearly, and visitors will be informed in a visual manner about these creative developments from the technology company Sharp.

Sharp´s arrival on the production printing market in 2007 was so successful, that it very soon became certain that Sharp would be participating at Drupa 2008. In the field of professional production systems, Sharp now exhibits high performance in the area of black and white production for up to 110 pages. This market has enormous significance for Sharp: “We are delighted to be able to present these high-performance systems to a broad public at Drupa. Our expectations of this trade fair are very high, and we look forward to presenting our new document solutions,” says Edmar Perdon, General Manager Marketing Information Systems at Sharp Europe.

Modern networked digital printing is changing the face of communication: up-to-date daily digital interaction, networked databases and CRM systems lead to individual personalised documents, produced on Sharp printing systems. At Drupa, Sharp will show how digital printing individualises mass products, optimises workflows, and thus improves the quality of communication while minimising costs and time, in keeping with the motto “Empowering Print Communications”.
