PerfectProof demonstrates innovative solutions for proofing, large format production and packaging prototype creation at Drupa 2008

Tuesday 20. May 2008 - At Drupa 2008 PerfectProof will demonstrate a range of practical solutions that increase productivity and efficiency for companies in different markets. Since the introduction of ProofMaster v3 at IPEX 2006, PerfectProof has continued to diversify its product offering, becoming the most versatile solution provider for proofing, large format, photo and silk screen film production.

With the addition of “ProofMasterCertify!” and “PrintFactory!”, PerfectProof extends this successful approach. ProofMasterCertify! is by far the easiest and most cost-effective tool to produce ISO-compliant certified proofs. PrintFactory! is the ultimate workflow solution for large format production.
Also shown at Drupa is Pakready, PerfectProof’s solution to produce pristine packaging prototypes.

Everybody Goes Certified
Today, the graphic arts industry is increasingly driven by standardization. While ISO standards like PDF/X have increased the reliability of file exchange, the new ISO 12647 is aimed at making printed color more predictable and reproducible.
Until today, standards-based color management has been in the hands of the experts. With the introduction of the new turnkey product ProofMasterCertify!, PerfectProof offers an easy yet professional solution for everybody who needs color accurate certified proofs according to the latest ISO standards.

ProofMasterCertify! provides the same Fogra certified proofing capabilities as ProofMaster does today. The software comes pre-packaged with tailor-made profiles for the different production processes, allowing users to produce guaranteed ISO certified digital proofs. Unique in the market, ProofMasterCertify! offers for Mac and PC the same functionality for A4 to A1 sized proofing devices and this at one price. Printers, publishers, ad agencies and graphic designers, will be able to create certified proofs without the hassle of set-up and profiling. Creating certified proofs according to the ISO 12647-7 standard is now quick and easy!

Banner, Poster & Sign Production Revisited
In previous years, large format production has been driven by hardware investments. New machines have enabled higher quality, faster production and new applications for different markets. The challenge today is to efficiently and consistently produce complete campaigns on different machines and different media. Here, the solution lies in the software, not in the hardware.
From its introduction, ProofMaster v3 has proven to be a true workhorse for the banner, sign and poster printing market, offering the flexibility and productivity needed in today’s demanding environments. At Drupa 2008, PerfectProof will take these benefits one step further. PrintFactory! builds on ProofMaster’s modular architecture and provides the specific tools needed in the different parts of the workflow. It allows users to set up advanced manual and automated tiling, generate eyelet markers, add seam lines and many other things. Corrections on text or color are possible in the very last minute. Beyond print production you can generate die cut lines to drive the finishing of your jobs. PrintFactory! operates in a completely mixed environment, enabling studio operators to work comfortably on their Mac while the RIP can reside on a PC.
PrintFactory! also drives an increasing range of printers. Having added support for Nur, Inca, Durst, Gand Innovations, Mimaki, HP Scitex and others, PrintFactory! allows users to drive these different machines from the same platform. All the color know-how PerfectProof has build up over the years is integrated in PrintFactory!. Due to the wizard-based interface creating profiles is easy, allowing users to align various machines and to maximize color gamut on different media.

Through workflow optimization and color management, PrintFactory! increases machine profitability, customer satisfaction and operator productivity, at a fraction of the cost of additional hardware.

Packaging Prototypes In A Heartbeat
The production of prototypes for packaging is an expensive and time-consuming process. With Pakready, PerfectProof introduces an extremely efficient and affordable solution for the creation of carton based prototypes on the final packaging material. The time needed to create a prototype can now be reduced to a couple of minutes, allowing the creation of more prototypes in less time. These can either be multiple design variants for the same product or more prototypes of the same design. This allows for more extensive testing with customer focus groups guaranteeing a packaging design, more suited to the needs of the target audience and an optimized time-to-market.

“With the introduction of these new solutions, PerfectProof tackles the technological challenges others are scared away from.” says Mark Verbist, Managing Director at PerfectProof. “With our products we bring practical, yet innovative solutions to real life challenges, making our customers more productive and more profitable”

PerfectProof will be present at Drupa in the Innovation Park in hall 7, booth 7.0c. Pakready is demonstrated in hall 7, booth 7.0e.
