After Wohlenberg very successfully pushed the modular design of the City e series in order to cost-effectively adapt the perfect binder to the individual customers requirements, this module concept is now also used on the Master e series. In the future the Master e will be available in three editions analogue the City e.
The Master e Edition 8.000 displayed on the DRUPA is a new version of this perfect binder series, which not only rounds off the Master series in the top performance range but likewise serves as a prototype for innovations. This Master e will e.g. not only make use of the new dynamic drive technology but will also be equipped with the new ConditionPro compatible control generation.
ConditionPro is an innovative new system for real-time monitoring of machine conditions and is applied for anticipatory maintenance purposes. The purpose is to recognize in advance the wear of essential components, under consideration of the individual utilization parameters. This way the customer will be able to reliably plan in time necessary maintenance measures. This will help reduce down times on the perfect binder to a minimum and also to sidestep problems which may arise in connection with the delivery of book binding products. An invaluable advantage for the PostPress¬Professional ever working under deadline pressure.
Presentation of the Master e is completed by equipping the machine with a KRF cover folder feeder, as well as a VSS-foredge trimming device – giving a demonstration of the only efficient and at the same time quality-demanding option of processing gate-folded products, a segment in which Wohlenberg can be considered a pioneer setting the tone in this technology since 2002.
In order to fully demonstrate the performance capacity of the new Master e Edition 8000 the unit will be shown in connection with the optimized version of the Gathering machine Streamer. The streamer convinces, besides its high flexibility and performance capability particularly through additional new functions, as a pile-forming delivery or hopperloader for processing bundles. Additionally the streamer is equipped with the new Winspector technology. Winspector is a powerful camera system which can be used for false sheet recognition and barcode reading. Learning of new signatures is done automatically without the need of manual adjustment – this helps keeping the set -up times short.
A further highlight presented on Drupa is
the new trim-tec 90e – a fully-automatic 90-cycle three-knife trimmer, likewise equipped with the dynamic-drive technology. Outstanding feature of this three-knife trimmer is an innovative, new drive concept,
the dynamic drive technology, which helps to realize a significant performance increase and a considerable reduction of set-up times. Visible evidence of this new technology is the new design of this three-knife trimmer which considers ergonomic findings, thus easing the operators work. This new trim-tec 90e will have a significant influence on the bookbinders organisation, since with the help of this three-knife trimmer set-up times till today not considered to be possible can now be realized. This is a substantial contribution to the efficiency improvement of a perfect binding system.
In addition to the new Master e Edition 8000 two further perfect binding systems are displayed. With the perfect binding system City e Edition 6000 Wohlenberg presents a perfect binder in the medium performance range. Outstanding feature of the Edition 6000 perfect binder is the intelligent linking of motorized and manual adjustment. Together with the Sprinter e gathering machine, the foredge trimming device VSS and the three-knife trimmer trim-tec 60i Wohlenberg offers the customer an all-purpose perfect binding system at an exceptional price-performance ratio.
With the Quickbinder Wohlenberg presents
a high-performance but compact perfect binder which despite its small overall size combines all features of a large perfect binder. World-wide more than 100 customers are meanwhile working with this highly-efficient perfect binder which, with a overall size of 4,1 meters, is capable of processing gluing techniques as hotmelt , cold glue and PUR in equally outstanding quality. Using the optional gauzing station allows the processing of Otabind- and Swiss brochures in one single operation.
