SITMA 1005-BW – Reliable automation in film wrapping
Sitma 1005-BW is a high-performance wrapping module working at a max. speed of 15.000 cycles per hour. The 1005-BW module is able to wrap magazines, newspapers and mailings in various formats.
A wide range of options is available, such as feeders for stitched or bound magazines, for newspapers, for many kinds of inserts and for gadgets. The module 1005-BW is able to wrap magazines and newspapers of various formats and can be equipped with a shrink tunnel and various stacker models according to the product thickness. The TIGHTWRAP APPLICATION ensures a perfectly tight package by stretching the film during the wrapping process. It is possible to address the products with labels fed from continuous label sheets or by means of an inkjet printer. Mail sorting can be fully automated.
On DRUPA 2008 Sitma presents a wrapping line 1005-BW which inserts various kinds of supplements into magazines. They are tight-wrapped in plastic film, addressed by inkjet and stacked by the new and very compact 11-SR unit.


SITMA 1150-FW – Innovative solutions – up to 18.000 cycles per hour
1150-FW is the Sitma high-performance wrapping module offering the highest format flexibility combined with various sealing possibilities: longitudinal sealing with film overlap, side sealing, standard cross sealing and cross sealing for creating a “header band”.
The Sitma 1150-FW reaches a speed of up to 18.000 cycles per hour and can be equipped with a large variety of options. Feeders on mechanical or servo-driven bases, different addressing positions, shrink tunnels, stackers are just some of the available options.

The flexibility of this model and the many accessories available provide solutions for any requirement in the production and in the distribution of graphic products.

At Drupa 2008 Sitma will be presenting the 1150-FW module as part of a wrapping line for magazines and newspapers provided with label-addressing system Sitma 912, inkjet and side sealer. The wrapped and addressed products will be processed by the new and improved stacker Sitma 769, available with a ionization device for stabilizing the product bundles during the ejection. The Sitma 769 stacker is rated for up to 50 bundles per minute.

The wrappers Sitma 1005-BW and 1150-FW are Sitma’s solutions for the mid and high speed range of the market.

For the top-speed requirements Sitma has designed two models rated at different speed levels:
? Sitma 1050-LDS: a wrapping module equipped with a twin double sealer and working with up to 30.000 cycles per hour. Recently launched, this model has already been sold and installed in several units and proved to be an excellent investment.
? Based on the experience with highest-speed wrappers, Sitma has developed the model 1050-RS, the fastest single-copy wrapper worldwide rated at 40.000 cycles per hour. It features a rotating cross sealer bar and will be introduced onto the market in autumn 2008.


SITMA SM 15 – High-speed envelope-inserting system
Sitma SM 15 envelope-inserting line is the result of the experience and competence achieved in over 40 years activity for the graphic industry.
This machine features:
? High reliability provided by the solid construction: the SM 15 has been designed for working “24/7”;
? Flexibility as to formats and products processed owing to the wide range of feeders and accessories;
? Selective, recovery, alternate feeding available;
? Inkjet addressing and preparation for zip code sorting;
? User-friendly due to ergonomic machine design and compact setup minimizing the operators’ movements;
? Minimum make-ready time due to pre-set job menus.

For a complete automation of the envelope-inserting process Sitma offers a variety of optional configurations and accessories. Roll unwinding, “live” printing, cutting, folding, accumulating facilities, optical verification, mail control are some of the many options available.

The Sitma SM 15 envelope inserter has reached a significant market success since its introduction.
