HSM presses on – with baling presses at drupa

Wednesday 14. May 2008 - Once again it is time for drupa, the world’s leading exhibition for the print and media industry, to open its doors in Düsseldorf after four years from 29th May to 11th June.

HSM GmbH + Co. KG, the Salem-based manufacturer of document shredders, cutting machines and baling presses will be presenting the fascinating new machines from the HSM Environmental Engineering product range in hall 17, at the 210 square metre stand A55.

The HSM AK 807 fully-automatic, continuous press primarily stands out due to its versatility. The maximum throughput of up to approx. 6.5 tonnes per hour makes it the ideal press for industrial applications of small to medium quantities. Connecting to an air feed is also easily possible. The bales are strapped three times manually with a polyester strap and reach a weight of up to 60 kg, depending on the material.

In addition, the VK 5512 will also be on display at the HSM exhibition stand. The VK 5512 is a fully-automatic channel baling press for continuous loading and with fully-automatic, 5-fold wire strapping. With a pressing power of 560 kN and a throughput of up to 435 m³ per hour, the press is particularly suited for compressing cardboard, foils and paper, but is also suited for packaging in Germany’s DSD system and for PET bottles. The large loading apertures enable fast operations. The pressing cycle is controlled via light barriers. The optimised bale sizes and weights of up to 550 kg ensure efficient truck loading.

The V-Press vertical baling press range is represented by several machines at the stand. The machines will be displayed in a variety of versions.
The smallest machine from the V-Press series is the V-Press 610 eco. This is a compact disposal solution for using on site, with a high pressing power of 120 kN and bale sizes which ensure optimal HVG load utilisation. The eco version consists of double doors with a hand wheel door lock.
Thanks to its powerful motor, its ergonomic design and its sophisticated and innovative technology, the HSM V-Press 820 plus combines all the advantages of a baling press into one machine. The plus version combines a loading cap with a hand wheel door lock.
The V-Press 1160 max has a pressing power of up to 532 kN with a maximum bale weight of 550 kg and is the top model of the HSM V-Press series with its strong pressing power and an extremely high level of efficiency. The max version is equipped with a sliding door with a hydraulic door lock and an extra cover.

Due to its size, cost efficiency and capacity, the V-Press series is incredibly well-suited for industry, manufacturers and retailers alike. With this compact baling press you can reduce the volume of your on-site packaging material by up to 95%.
