Solimar Systems to Showcase Rubika IMB Solutions at NPF

Solimar Systems, Inc. a leading global provider of production printing and secure document delivery solutions, has today announced plans to exhibit a new range of leading-edge technologies for the postal mailing industry market. Solimar will be featuring its latest solutions to help organizations keep current with United States Postal Service (USPS) regulation changes. The solutions will be on display at the National Postal Forum (NPF) at the Anaheim Convention and Exhibition in booth #1009 from May 18-21, 2008.
Solimar will showcase its Rubika product suite that is designed to solve many problems associated with high volume transactional print and online viewing environments. Rubika contains various modules which are capable of modifying and re-engineering data streams to automate manual processes, to enable postal savings, to add value to documents, and to leverage finishing equipment. The most recent release of Rubika supports the new Intelligent Mail Barcode (IMB) initiative from the USPS.

“Compared to other barcode application methods, Rubika enables the new IMB mandate quickly, with less manpower, and at a lower cost,” states Mary Ann Rowan, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Solimar Systems. “Using Rubika’s highly intuitive GUI, older barcodes can be replaced with the next generation IMB to achieve maximum postal savings, to enable delivery tracking, and to reduce outbound undeliverable mail.”

Rubika 2.2 has also been enhanced with new Scale & Shift functionality that provides increased data stream manipulation. The new feature set enables users to scale, shift and rotate document page images prior to printing. This becomes particularly valuable when there is a need to shift page images for binding purposes, or when there is a need to shrink page images to make room for new content being added to leverage finishing devices, such as optical mark recognition (OMR) symbols or barcodes.
