No gummi bears will land on the sidewalk with us

Thursday 01. May 2008 - The ALFRED GIESSER MESSERFABRIK produces innovative cutting implementations for the packaging sector

Can you identify with this? All of a sudden you have a craving. Only gummi bears will do. You run to the nearest supermarket and a few minutes later you hold the bag in your hands; you start to open it. However, what is normally something fairly easy, turns out to be a major problem in this case. The bag simply refuses to open. First you pull lightly, but then you exert more and more strength. Suddenly the bag rips open and all the gummi bears land on the sidewalk..

Certainly everybody has already experienced such a situation at least once in their lives. Tubular bag packaging just does not want to open up. As if sealed for all eternity, the bag staunchly defies all opening attempts. It will drive even the strongest of men to the edge of sanity.

The culprits are easily found here: The line of teeth, which are supposed to provide the bag with the predetermined breaking point. In the above mentioned case, they were cut incorrectly. The quality of the cutting blade was probably not the best.

Today, even the manufacture of a profane looking bag of gummi bears can demand the greatest amount of know-how and preciseness within the production process. Cutting applications of the ALFRED GIESSER MESSERFABRIK have this know-how and this preciseness which, when all is said and done, bear the responsibility that the gummi bears will end up in your stomach and not on the ground.
