KODAK SCANMATE i1120 Scanner with DYMO Software Cuts Clutter at National Association of Professional Organizers Conference

Wednesday 09. April 2008 - For business success, organization is key. However, getting a workspace in order can be challenging with the daily deluge of documents that come into an office. A new document scanning solution from Kodak featuring software from office organization leader DYMO now provides companies with an easy way to scan, capture and manage information in user friendly formats.

The KODAK SCANMATE i1120 Scanner paired with DYMO File software will be demonstrated at the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO) Conference, April 9-12 in Reno, Nev.

Attendees of the NAPO conference share best practices for organizational principles and applications. Professional organizers help individuals and businesses take control of their environment, time, paper and processes. The NAPO conference also showcases some of the best organizational tools businesses can use to help achieve success.

The KODAK SCANMATE i1120 Scanner works with DYMO File software through the scanner’s easy to use “smart touch” feature to provide customers with a more organized workspace. The system effectively converts paper documents into more manageable electronic files—such as PDF or MICROSOFT WORD software formats—that can easily be accessed using intuitive search and file functions. In addition to DYMO File software, the SCANMATE Scanner comes with NUANCE SCANSOFT PAPERPORT 11 Software, NUANCE OMNIPAGE 15 Software and NEWSOFT PRESTO! BizCard 5 Software, providing customers an easy to use, capture based solution right out of the box.

“The KODAK SCANMATE i1120 Scanner with DYMO File software was created to help average office workers who are buried in more than 126 pounds of paper per year,” said Don McMahan, Vice President Sales, United States & Canada, Document Imaging, Kodak’s Graphic Communications Group. “This combination of products provides users with an easy means of capturing stacks of documents at once to manage and share large amounts of information.”

The DYMO File software, paired with a KODAK SCANMATE i1120 Scanner, enhances an office’s organizational capabilities through its DYMOCode Technology. This technology creates and reads barcodes to identify and separate documents, allowing users to scan, capture and file many documents at one time with a minimal number of manual steps.

“DYMO File software with the KODAK SCANMATE i1120 Scanner makes it possible for small businesses to afford the technology that allows them to digitize records and streamline information processing,” said Jeremy Petty, Business Development Manager, DYMO. “This collaborative solution is a powerful tool that any company can immediately use to advance its business and improve productivity.”

KODAK SCANMATE i1120 Scanner purchasers in North America receive a free download of the DYMO File software LT Edition at www.kodak.com/go/ScanMate.

DYMO File LT Edition allows users to scan up to 200 pages per month and utilize the services of the DYMO File System.

The KODAK SCANMATE i1120 Scanner has a U.S. list price of $495 and is available nationwide through various resellers. The scanner has a best in class, one year Advanced Unit Replacement (AUR) warranty. DYMO File software is available with higher minimum scanning capabilities at either $199.99 for the Office Edition or $399.99 for the Professional version. The KODAK i1220 Scanner and the KODAK Scan Station 100 are also compatible with DYMO File software.
