Katun Corporation presents a new generation of products at Remax

Katun Corporation, the world’s leading aftermarket supplier of imaging supplies and parts for office equipment, will demonstrate its latest product innovations and developments at Remax, in Düsseldorf, Germany, from April 10-12, 2008.
Remax is the biggest European trade show for the remanufacturing industry, bringing together printer cartridge remanufacturers from all over the world. With visitor numbers increasing year-on-year, and attendees eager to forge new business contacts, the event serves as the perfect platform for Katun to communicate its new solutions to the industry and its peers. The Katun booth will be located in Hall 14, stand B300.
Katun provides efficient solutions for controlling printing costs
In 2007, Katun introduced the Print Software Solution (PSS), developed by docuFORM GmbH Germany, that supports cost documentation and cost optimization as well as printing, service and logistics management for all networked printer and copier systems. The software solution enables specialized office equipment dealers to significantly benefit from optimization and simplification of their sales and service activities. Dealers are able to gain new customers and grow their existing customer accounts, increase their strategic value with customers and improve overall financial performance. End users can benefit too, profiting from savings on direct and indirect printing costs.
A unique selling point of the software is that it records actual usage and offers useful improvement measures. Depending on the definition of adjusted parameters for printing jobs with a certain number of pages, the information will be automatically sent from a desktop printer to a workgroup printer. Recent research conducted by Katun has determined that 20 to 30 percent of the total printing volumes of desktop printers can be transferred to more cost-effective systems. Based on the costs of print per page, end users can save between 15 to 20 percent of their overall printing costs by installing PSS.
Katun also provides a solution for minimizing fine dust emissions
Katun Corporation has also recently entered into an exclusive arrangement with Dexwet Technology GmbH in Austria to distribute Dexwets filtering systems. Analytical testing from leading aerosol scientists and environmental experts SHOWS THAT Dexwet filtering systems significantly reduce fine dust laser printer emissions, resulting in fewer airborne particles and less indoor air pollution.
Dexwet recently introduced the new “Simular One – DEX 1000” and “Modular Professional – DEX 2000” filtering systems, designed for even further simplified installation on machines with out-blowing fan exhaust openings. The new filtering systems work in a wide range of laser printer applications, and are LGA (Landesgewerbeanstalt / a Public Law Corporation, Nürnberg / Germany) – certified and OFI (Austrian Research Institute) – inspected. Offering an exceptional filtering efficiency, combined with a long service life, they are also compatible with a wide range of printer applications, including the majority of todays most popular laser printers and copiers.
The new technology provides a solution package – combining PSS and Dexwet filtering systems – that minimizes enterprise printing costs and fine dust emissions from laser printers. During Remax 2008, Katun will take the opportunity to further elaborate on the specific details of this cooperation and the innovative technology surrounding this new product solution.
New and innovative product offerings on display at Remax
Katun has developed several new products that they are proud and excited to introduce to the industry, including Katun Performance colour toner cartridges for use in Samsung CLP 500/550 and CLP 510 applications. These new cartridges provide consistent toner transfer, resulting in clean, crisp colour prints without compromising toner yield. By launching these new colour toners, Katun further commits itself to providing customers with a high quality/best value colour product offering – for both copier and printer applications.
Katun will also introduce several Katun Performance brand toner cartridges, including high-quality new products for use in HP Colour Laserjet 2600, 3600/3800, and 4700-series applications, HP Laserjet 2015 and 3005-series, Samsung CLP 300-series, and Kyocera Mita FS-1920 (TK-55) and FS-3820-series (TK-65) printers.
