As a modern international company, we have for years now been working respon-sibly for the future. Not only do we think locally and nationally, but also globally. Keeping environmental damage to a minimum, economically using raw materials and increasing the product value for our customers – these have been integral parts of the business philosophy of Julius Heywinkel GmbH for years.
What we are doing for our environment today
We are taking up the cause of protection of the environment and transform our environmental convictions into concrete action – throughout the entire lifecycle of our products, e.g. by means of:
? Research and development: We test and develop materials and new processes guaranteeing a more environmentally compatible production.
? Alternative materials: Today already, PVC-free fabrics supplement the heytex sign product range. There are applications where already today, the substitution of PVC does make sense in economic and ecological respect. And exactly for such purposes we offer our customers PVC-free products.
? Ingredients: Our high quality heytex sign fabrics contain
– no heavy metals – no pesticides
– no bleaching agents – no DOP or similar plasticizers
– no glycol ether – no carcinogenic colouring agents etc.
? Production: Our chimney should smoke, but not billow clouds of smoke. How can we guarantee that?
– by production which saves energy and raw materials
? Shipping: In shipping, too, we rely on environmentally-friendly procedures:
– low weight means to save energy with packing and shipping
– use of recyclable packing material
– production waste is recycled to packing material
? Environment management:
For years we have been using an integrated, ISO 14001 certified environment management system. The system saves and controls all in-company and adminis-trative environmental matters of Julius Heywinkel GmbH. This is how we ensure long lasting environmental compatibility of all business processes and products as well as environmentally compatible behaviour of our staff. In regular eco audits we take over clear responsibility for dealing with direct and indirect effects on the environment caused by our company.
