Durst launches the Rho 700 at FESPA Digital

Friday 04. April 2008 - A new generation of modular UV flatbed printers

The new Rho 700 UV flatbed printers are the latest addition to the Durst Rho family and represent a new generation of modular, upgradeable flatbed printers which offer higher productivity and even finer image quality.
The outstanding performance and reliability is the result of the precision of key components developed and produced by Durst. Key to the finest quality of print combined with the highest output speed is Durst’s own advanced and
perfected Quadro Array inkjet technology. There is also a new concept for the print carriage which includes a linear drive system. The workflow is more efficient due to the new Durst proprietary user software.
The modular build concept is unique in its class, no other UV flatbed printers can be adapted to individual needs or
be upgraded later in the field to the same extent. There are a number of optional features available.
There is a choice of ink variety which includes white and special effect varnish, also light colours for finer image
quality. There are specific inks for rigid, flexible or absorbing media, ensuring the most cost efficient ink choice.
Productivity is maximised by the use of mechanical front stops which enable parallel printing of boards side by side. Printing onto corrugated boards can also be automated. Furthermore, overall speed can be increased by doubling the number of Quadro Arrays from 4 to 8.
The wide choice of printing applications for the Rho 700 is further increased by its ability to print both roll and rigid media. There is a heavy roll option which will enable unattended printing. There are also special features for printing heavy and/or thick boards and there is a further option for printing onto corrugated boards.
Designed for high quality, industrial performance and able to be tailored to specific business requirements, the Rho 700 provides the perfect solution for screen printers, photo laboratories and digital printers.
The Rho 700 joins Durst’s two other highly advanced and successful UV flatbeds, the Rho 600 Pictor, an award winning industrial standard entry level printer, and the Rho 800, the ultra high performance inkjet with a continuous board printing feature.
