POLESTAR SCORES WITH SHOOT
Monday 03. March 2008 - Polestar has printed the first issue of the weekly version of Shoot magazine, which has gone on sale this week following its move to the new frequency.
Polestar Colchester, which first printed the title in 2001, produced the 68-page magazine on its 32-page Polyman presses, with the four-page cover produced on its five-unit mini web press.
Earlier this month, Polestar accommodated the changes to one of IPCs leading womens weekly titles, Woman, which unveiled a new larger format. Design innovations also included the introduction of a UV varnish to the cover. Woman, which has been printed by the group and its predecessors for many years, is currently printed at Polestar Sheffield.
Polestar Key Account Director Bruce Wheeler says: “With the breadth of Polestars resources and expertise, we can continue to work with our customers as their own requirements change. We are very pleased to have been involved with the ongoing development and success of these two titles.”
