TENSOR SELLS PRESSLINE TO FREEDOM ARIZONA INFORMATION, INC.

Tuesday 26. February 2008 - Tensor Group, Inc., a premier U.S. manufacturer of web offset press equipment, recently signed a contract to supply and install a complete pressline at Freedom Arizona Information Inc.’s Mesa production facility.

Freedom Arizona purchased the Tensor press to produce a 48 page tabloid product with 32 pages of 4-color at speeds up to 45,000 copies per hour in a single run. The press consists of four Tensor T-400BE 4-high towers, one Tensor T-400BE 2-high tower and one Tensor H-50 heavy-duty jaw folder.
Freedom Arizona Information, Inc. is part of the Newspapers Division of Freedom Communications, Inc. of Irvine, California, a national privately-owned media company of newspapers, broadcast television stations and interactive media businesses. Founded in 1935, Freedom Communications’ network of community newspapers is the heart of the company’s business. Freedom Communications currently produces more than 33 dailies and 77 weeklies, including shoppers, in 10 states nationwide and has a combined circulation of more than 1.2 million subscribers.
The new pressline at Mesa will also include six zero-speed festoon splicers arranged as five singles at right angle to the press and one single in-line, with turnbars located under the towers. The press is shaft-driven, equipped with a remote inking system and oil cooling.

Tensor’s T-400BE single width, one-around press unit is one of the most advanced in the industry. The T-400BE offers a unique true arch-type geometry that positions the blankets higher and provides a wider opening for easier access. Excellent rolling dot transfer and torsional stability are achieved by a full bearer design. Additional benefits of the T-400BE include finer screen densities, reduced dot gain, higher productivity and lower waste.
Freedom Arizona will print the East Valley Tribune, a zoned tabloid for daily and Sunday distribution in the Arizona suburbs, on the new Tensor press. Other production will include newspapers and semi-commercial work. Installation is scheduled for the second quarter of 2008.
