Thursday 14. February 2008 - As part of its strategy to expand its Print on Demand (POD) business Screen is pleased to announce that it has appointed Schneidler Grafiska AB as its distributor to sell and support its new industrial and wide format inkjet printers throughout Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland.

“Schneidler Grafiska is Sweden’s most respected distributor and is an important addition to our European distribution network,” said Frans Kops, Screen’s Northern European Sales Manager. “They are well established suppliers to the digital large format market and the Truepress Jet 2500UV is the perfect solution to provide print production solutions to an expanding customer base.”

A supplier to the graphic arts market since 1805, Schneidler Grafiska, part of the Schneidler Group, supplies a wide range of pre-press, print finishing products and consumables with full support. The Schneidler Group is a privately owned group of companies which imports and markets equipment and consumables to the graphic arts and printed circuit board industries. The company’s expertise in the wider industrial sector is ideal to support sales of the Truepress Jet650 UV, which has been developed for the industrial printing market, where the business model of incorporating POD systems into a variety of products during the production process is gaining considerable attention. The digital printing of car instrument panels is a good example. The Truepress Jet650UV boasts highly-customisable features and provides precise, high-resolution, multi-colour imaging that responds to the demands of a large number of industrial users.

The Truepress Jet2500UV will make its commercial launch at Fespa Digital following its preview at Fespa Digital last year. It is a wide format flatbed and roll-fed inkjet print system featuring quality grayscale printheads that enables printing on both rigid and flexible substrates and offers a great balance between high print quality and productivity that means it can be used for a broad range of applications. As well as its flexibility of format, quickly changing from flatbed to roll, there is flexibility of resolution (300-1500 dpi) and speed depending on productivity and quality required.

Kenth Quartino, Business Area Manager, Schneidler Grafiska AB explained: “We have worked with Screen for many years and are very much looking forward to Screen’s Truepress Jet 2500 and 650 becoming an important part of our portfolio. We have waited a long time for equipment like this to be available to meet the demands of the significant potential inkjet market in Scandinavia.”
