Chicago Tribune Names Jeff Dorsey Vice President / Technology

Monday 28. January 2008 - Chicago Tribune announced today that Jeff Dorsey, production director / operations has been named vice president / technology for Chicago Tribune Company.

“Jeff made invaluable contributions to the operations department, including leading two strategic projects with high technology interfaces. His exceptional leadership capabilities, communication skills and business acumen are sure to deliver excellent results in his new position,” said Tony Hunter, senior vice president / circulation and operations.

Dorsey began his career at the Chicago Tribune in April 2000 and has held numerous senior level leadership positions since then. Prior to the Tribune, he spent 15 years at Ameritech (now AT&T) managing technical and financial functions, including strategic planning for network services.

“I am excited to join the technology team,” Dorsey said. “This department has a long history of delivering significant value to Chicago Tribune customers, and we intend to continue that tradition. I look forward to working with this talented group of individuals.”

Dorsey obtained his bachelor’s degree in Industrial Management / Engineering from Purdue University and an MBA from Northwestern University.
